THE WORK:
+ You'll prepare and review Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) during all project phases—planning, design, and construction.
+ You'll develop final Engineer’s Estimates, factoring in phasing, operations, labor shifts, constraints, and access requirements.
+ You'll create detailed estimates from conceptual plans or engineering drawings, including labor, materials, and equipment.
+ You'll generate Constructability Reports to highlight design issues and assist in accurate budgeting.
+ You'll reconcile ICEs with third-party estimates through collaborative review and documentation.
+ You'll analyze and compare vendor, contractor, and subcontractor bids with internal estimates.
+ You'll identify production cost factors and required contractor equipment.
+ You'll present cost estimates to stakeholders and lead negotiation meetings with contractors.
+ You'll perform and review detailed material take-offs and cost breakdowns for system components.
+ You'll maintain historical cost data for future estimates and review contract changes for cost impacts.
+ You'll lead or support Change Order negotiations, including reviewing scope, pricing, labor rates, and markup compliance.
+ You'll validate pricing using standard references (e.g., R.S. Means, CalTrans, Blue Book) and ensure fairness in credits or additional scope.
+ You'll coordinate closely with project management and engineering teams and prepare necessary reports and correspondence.
+ Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
$189,090 - $208,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or Washington as set forth below.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
+ 15 years or more in general estimating experience directly related to both engineering and construction projects
+ Certified estimating professional credential required
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
+ Experience managing a team of cost estimators
+ Demonstrated experience with complex estimate reconciliations and change order negotiations
+ Demonstrated experience in getting independent estimates from vendors/contractors as check estimates against contractor proposal estimated costs and negotiations
+ Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
+ Self-starter attitude with proved results-oriented focus
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Must possess the ability to effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication.
+ Comfortable operating in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment
+ Produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer service attitude
+ Must be detail oriented and highly organized
+ Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects at the same time
+ Experience working with outside agencies i.e., FAA, General Services division, LADBS, LADWP, etc.
