The Work:
  1. Prepare and review Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) during all project phases—planning, design, and construction.
  2. Develop final Engineer’s Estimates, considering phasing, operations, labor shifts, constraints, and access requirements.
  3. Create detailed estimates from conceptual plans or engineering drawings, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  4. Generate Constructability Reports to identify design issues and assist in accurate budgeting.
  5. Reconcile ICEs with third-party estimates through collaborative review and documentation.
  6. Analyze and compare vendor, contractor, and subcontractor bids with internal estimates.
  7. Identify production cost factors and required contractor equipment.
  8. Present cost estimates to stakeholders and lead negotiation meetings with contractors.
  9. Perform and review detailed material take-offs and cost breakdowns for system components.
  10. Maintain historical cost data for future estimates and review contract changes for cost impacts.
  11. Lead or support Change Order negotiations, reviewing scope, pricing, labor rates, and markup compliance.
  12. Validate pricing using standard references (e.g., R.S. Means, CalTrans, Blue Book) and ensure fairness in credits or additional scope.
  13. Coordinate with project management and engineering teams, preparing reports and correspondence.

Onsite at client site: The role requires onsite presence with our clients and partners to facilitate delivery and strengthen client relationships.

Salary Range: $189,090 - $208,000 per year.

Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skills, and experience. We accept applications continuously; there is no fixed deadline.
