Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks a Civil/Construction Inspector to perform on-site field inspections, ensure compliance with plans and codes, and coordinate testing and material verifications at client sites in California. The role requires collaboration with owners, contractors, and labs, and entails travel as needed to project areas.

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
• In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of construction-related experience
• Compliance with Accenture vehicle policy or willingness to travel to project areas as needed
• CMIT, NICET, APWA, ICC and/or ACI Concrete Field Testing preferred

Responsibilities

• You’ll provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and contract requirements.
• You’ll inspect reinforcing steel, cast-in-place concrete, foundations, utilities, and other heavy civil infrastructure elements to ensure conformance with drawings and standards.
• You’ll coordinate and witness concrete and materials testing activities, including sampling and strength tests.
• You’ll verify installation of materials, equipment, embedded items, completed construction work, and layout control.
• You’ll coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, designers, testing labs, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspectors.
• You’ll monitor contractor labor, equipment, and material utilization; document pay quantities; assist with change negotiations.
• You’ll review contractor schedules and construction sequencing for cost/schedule impacts.
• You’ll attend safety and coordination meetings as a key field representative.
• You’ll identify nonconforming work, verify corrective actions, and ensure compliance prior to acceptance.
• You’ll maintain comprehensive project documentation per ACI, CRSI, ASTM, ICC requirements.
• You’ll be onsite at client sites and delivery centers as required.

• You’ll coordinate with owners, contractors, consultants, designers, testing laboratories, regulatory agencies, and third-party special inspection providers to support project delivery.
• You’ll monitor contractor labor, equipment, and material utilization; document force account work; measure and record pay quantities; and assist with construction change negotiations.
• You’ll review contractor schedules, construction sequencing, labor compliance requirements, and potential change order issues that may impact project cost or schedule.
• You’ll attend and actively participate in construction, safety, and project coordination meetings, serving as a key field representative.
• You’ll identify, document, and track nonconforming work, verify corrective actions, and help ensure compliance prior to acceptance of completed work.
• You’ll maintain comprehensive project documentation, including inspection reports, testing records, safety documentation, photographs, daily reports, and related project records while applying working knowledge of ACI, CRSI, ASTM, and ICC inspection requirements.
• Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
• Onsite at delivery center: You will be onsite at our delivery center for the majority of your work hours.
