Job summary

Searchability is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to define and assure the future-state infrastructure environment, spanning cloud, hosting, networking, identity, storage and platform services.

You will assess current environments, develop migration roadmaps and deliver designs that are secure, scalable and resilient while aligning with enterprise architecture principles. Remote work is supported with rare travel to London or Manchester.

Qualifications

INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT

• £530 per day via Umbrella
• Remote – very rare travel may emerge to London or Manchester
• Contract until 30/06/2027
• Home Office SC & NPPV3 clearance required

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is undertaking a major organisational transformation programme, bringing multiple organisations, business units and end-user communities together under a unified Target Operating Model. Due to the scale of the transformation, they are looking for an Infrastructure Architect to define and assure the future-state infrastructure environment.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT ROLE:

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will define the infrastructure architecture strategy supporting the Target Operating Model and future-state environment. You will work across cloud, hosting, networking, end-user computing, identity, storage and platform services, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

You will assess current infrastructure environments, identify opportunities for consolidation and optimisation, develop migration roadmaps and produce high-level and detailed infrastructure designs. You will also provide technical assurance across solutions, suppliers and partners, while supporting cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, IaC and cloud-native design.

The role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, cyber teams, suppliers and service providers, alongside responsibility for ensuring solutions meet requirements around security, availability, disaster recovery, business continuity and operational resilience.

INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Proven Infrastructure Architect experience within complex enterprise environments
• Experience working on large-scale transformation programmes
• Strong Azure, AWS or Google Cloud experience
• Infrastructure migration, consolidation and platform rationalisation experience
• Strong knowledge of resilience, DR, high availability and business continuity
• Experience producing infrastructure designs and architecture standards
• Experience with infrastructure automation, IaC and cloud modernisation
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience
• Understanding of security, compliance and secure-by-design principles
