Job summary

WSP USA is offering an Associate Program in Advisory & Planning across multiple offices including Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; and San Francisco, CA with an August 2027 start. This early-career program develops management consulting and infrastructure planning skills, placing graduates on diverse projects across sectors.

You’ll engage in funding analysis, research, and strategic planning, mentored by industry leaders to grow into technical service roles within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as listed: civil engineering, business, economics, finance, urban/transportation planning, policy, computer/data science, environmental science, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Demonstrated research skills and experience.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with ability to communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze needs and opportunities across infrastructure planning.
• Research and report on industry trends.
• Evaluate alternatives and priorities for projects.
• Develop business cases for infrastructure investments.
• Write reports and grant applications.
• Support client meetings and workshops.
• Analyze project funding and financing options.
• Review legislation and guidance; perform quantitative analyses.
• Develop financial models
• Provide strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development
