Job summary

Global Lending Services is seeking an entry-level Infrastructure Administrator as part of our campus recruitment for May 2027. You will help configure, implement, and monitor GLS desktop and client management systems, with emphasis on Microsoft 365 administration and network performance.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT, show strong problem-solving, initiative, and superb interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams in a growing, dynamic company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Initiative, able to identify needs and drive improvements across IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and monitor desktop systems and client management systems.
  • Administer Microsoft Office 365 services and ensure GLS network is monitored and performing optimally.
  • Collaborate with security teams to protect client systems from cyber threats.
  • Support and manage local switches and wireless access points.
  • Maintain inventory documentation for all devices and software licensing.
  • Coordinate with vendors on purchasing and shipping of equipment.

What does it mean to be an Infrastructure Administrator at GLS?

As an Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and monitoring of all desktop systems and client management systems. This position will be responsible for administrative functions within Microsoft Office 365, as well as ensuring that the GLS network infrastructure is monitored at all points and running at optimal performance.

How will you drive value within the organization as an Infrastructure Administrator?
  • Support and manage Microsoft technologies including Kace, Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure & Office365, and other systems
  • Provide second level support and administration of Microsoft services such as SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, and Flow
  • Collaborate with security team members to ensure company client systems are properly protected and monitored against cyber threats
  • Support and manage local switches and wireless access points
  • Maintain inventory documentation of all company client devices
  • Maintain documentation for all client software licensing
  • Coordinate with software and hardware vendors on purchasing and shipping logistics of equipment
What should you already know to be successful as an Infrastructure Administrator?
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field of study is required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, and interact at all levels within the organization
Employment Requirements:
  • Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity
  • Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday
  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Be able to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, bending, and kneeling
  • The position may require minimal travel, up to 2 weeks per yearThis is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, days and hours of work are between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm. Typical schedule is 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm with required availability through 11pm for escalation services as needed.
  • This position will participate in an on-call rotation
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required, including more than 40 hours as business demands dictate
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
