The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) seeks an Infrastructure Administrative Assistant I to provide lead administrative support to the Chief of Infrastructure and the Infrastructure teams within the Division of Parks and Recreation. Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate Infrastructure project information in appropriate systems and reconcile internal reporting tools with external systems.
  • Process and track Infrastructure invoices, budgets, travel, P-Card purchases, mileage logs, and related financial records.
  • Enter, review, and approve E-Pro orders and support purchasing, requisitions, and other procurement activities.
  • Lead document organization, records retention, and retrieval for Construction and Facilities Maintenance files.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for Infrastructure questions and coordinate information among park, district, operations, administrative, consultant, and contractor contacts.
  • Maintain schedules, itineraries, meeting arrangements, agendas, minutes, correspondence, and other administrative support for the Chief of Infrastructure and Infrastructure staff.
  • Provide disaster/emergency documentation support and assist with special projects, events, and other duties as assigned.

Description Of Work

Do you enjoy NC State Parks and working in an administrative setting? NC State Parks and Recreation has an Infrastructure Administrative Assistant I position available. The Infrastructure Section supports the Division of Parks and Recreation through statewide construction, facilities maintenance, project coordination, budget and procurement support, and related infrastructure services for state parks and recreation units. Provide lead administrative support to the Chief of Infrastructure and the Infrastructure teams, including the Construction and Facilities Maintenance Sections. The position supports day-to-day operations, project and budget tracking, purchasing and invoice processing, records management, scheduling, customer service, and other long- and short-term Infrastructure Section needs.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Recruitment Range: $39,244.00 - $50,524.00

Preferred Qualifications

Position/Physical Requirements
  • Must be available to work the schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and occasional holidays, weekends, and evenings as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
Minimum Education And Experience
