Job summary

Monroe Infrared is seeking an experienced infrared thermographer to perform inspections at commercial and industrial sites, helping clients improve safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. You’ll travel to diverse facilities, identify issues before failures, and report findings using company templates.

Requirements include thermography certification, electrical knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Thermography certification and infrared thermographer experience.
• Basic electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Willingness to travel regularly and have a valid driver’s license.
• Resident within reasonable travel area to airport access.

Responsibilities

• Perform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and roofing at commercial/industrial sites.
• Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies or potential failures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports using company templates, documenting findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Represent the company professionally on-site as the primary customer interface.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer personnel to ensure clarity and accuracy of inspection results.
• Complete administrative duties including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangements.
• May support building energy audits and cataloging customers’ electrical and mechanical assets.
