Job summary

Guidant Power's Monroe Infrared unit is hiring an experienced infrared thermographer to perform inspections at commercial and industrial sites, helping customers improve safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. You’ll work with facility teams in environments such as manufacturing plants, hospitals, data centers, and office buildings to identify issues before equipment failure or safety incidents.

Qualifications

• Thermography certification required and experience as an infrared thermographer.
• Basic electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Solid computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Willing and able to travel regularly (air travel included).
• Valid driver's license and residence within commuting distance to major airport.

• Perform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and roofing at commercial/industrial sites.
• Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies or potential failures.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports using company templates with findings and recommendations.
• Represent the company professionally on-site as the primary customer interface.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer personnel to ensure clarity of results.
• Complete administrative duties including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangements.
• May support building energy audits and cataloging customer assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and/or roofing at commercial and industrial job sites
• Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies or potential failures
• Prepare detailed inspection reports using company templates, clearly documenting findings and recommendations for corrective action
• Represent the company professionally on-site as the primary customer interface
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer personnel to ensure clarity and accuracy of inspection results
• Complete administrative duties in a timely manner, including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangements
• May also support building energy audits and assist with cataloging customers electrical and mechanical assets

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude
• Thermography certification and experience as an infrared thermographer
• Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels, including maintenance staff, facility managers, and engineers
• Solid computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
• Willing and able to travel regularly (includes air travel); valid driver10s license required
• Reside within one hour of a major airport for efficient travel to customer sites

Additional Information

• You must reside in the USA
• We are not currently providing employment visa sponsorship
• This is an 80-100% travel position
