Job summary

Etched in San Jose is seeking a systems-minded engineer to lead development of next-generation infrastructure tooling for hybrid HPC clusters, CI pipelines, and observability. You will work across simulation, synthesis, and AI toolchains with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will architect and implement a state-of-the-art observability stack, integrate LLMs for insight from millions of metrics, and ensure reproducible pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems programming, or backend software development.
• Strong background building large-scale, hardware-aware infrastructure and tooling.
• Expert-level Linux knowledge, virtualization, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build orchestration layers for hybrid HPC clusters enabling AI ASICs at scale.
• Develop and maintain a programmable infrastructure control plane for reproducibility and rapid iteration.
• Create tools and abstractions to harness massive parallelism with simple interfaces.
• Prototype workload orchestration and migration between on-premise and cloud environments.
• Implement real-time telemetry, tracing, and health metrics across CI pipelines and clusters.
• Build an observability stack with dashboards, alerting, and synthetic testing for reliability.
