Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an Infotainment Application Developer to join the Production Application Team. You will develop infotainment components and UI apps on AAOS/Linux, integrate with vehicle systems, and ensure performance and quality in a fast-moving automotive environment.

You will work with AAOS/Linux/QNX, use C++, Java, Rust, and Kotlin, and collaborate across teams to meet ASPICE/ISO 26262 standards. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• 0-10 years of professional experience in automotive, mobile phone, or consumer electronic software development rolls.
• Strong background in operating systems AAOS, Linux, and/or QNX.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, Rust, and/or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Android Studio, CMake, Git, and JIRA.
• Experience with debugging tools.
• Understanding of Agile software development and the SDLC.
• Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate infotainment components using C++ and Java/Kotlin on Linux or AAOS.
• Implement user interface frameworks and apps, optimizing startup time, responsiveness, and memory usage on constrained hardware.
• Integrate software with vehicle properties including VHAL, CAN, and Ethernet connectivity.
• Perform unit, integration, and UI testing with debugging tools on target bench hardware.
• Ensure software complies with automotive standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262.
• Adhere to DevOps processes and leverage AI during development and validation processes.
• Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally.
