Job summary

Airwallex in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Manager, Operations Strategy, Information Security to partner with the CISO and INFOSEC leadership. You will design operating rhythms, planning processes, reporting mechanisms, and cross-functional programs to prioritize risk and improve security maturity.

You will lead a team of Technical Program Managers, work with Security Engineering, IT, Legal, and executives, and translate technical risk topics into clear decisions and actionable plans, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; top-tier university preferred.
• 8+ years in strategy and operations, or related fields, in tech/fintech or regulated environments.
• Experience owning complex cross-functional programs end to end.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to deconstruct ambiguous problems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for engineering and executives.
• Experience designing operating rhythms and performance management mechanisms (OKRs, KPIs, QBRs).
• Experience leading or developing program managers.

Responsibilities

• Build and run annual and quarterly planning for INFOSEC and IT, including roadmaps and risk assessments.
• Coordinate QBRs and operating reviews with clear narratives on progress and risks.
• Implement tracking for OKRs, risk indicators, and maturity metrics; embed in reports.
• Design and improve INFOSEC operating processes (alerts, service requests, incident management).
• Maintain a knowledge base to improve documentation and AI-assisted workflows.
• Oversee cross-functional security and IT programs from strategy to execution; align stakeholders.
• Establish change-management practices for new security policies and tools.
• Develop dashboards and automated workflows to increase visibility and scale INFOSEC operations.
• Lead post-incident reviews and translate lessons into durable improvements.
• Build and coach Technical Program Managers with clear standards for planning and delivery.
