Job summary

WellSky is seeking a Software Engineer for the Information Security Team in Overland Park, KS. You will contribute across the software development lifecycle, building scalable features and ensuring code quality.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement RESTful APIs, and leverage AI tooling to improve decision-making and workflows in a healthcare IT environment. Candidates should have 2–4 years of related experience in C#.NET and ASP.NET Core.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2 - 4 years related work experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET Core, Restful Web API design.
• Claude Code or similar AI coding.
• Docker / Containerization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features and components of WellSky solutions with an emphasis on code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with solution managers, designers, and other teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-impact features that align with business goals.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in production and development environments.
• Optimize system performance and scalability through troubleshooting and ongoing improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews to ensure that software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain a robust set of unit tests and participate in other styles of automated testing, including integration, load, and performance testing to validate quality of code written.
• Leverage AI tools and platforms as part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
