Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking a security-focused professional to monitor and implement information security standards across the organization.

The role includes policy development, risk assessment, training and supporting audits to ensure DoD and regulatory compliance. A Secret clearance and DoD 8570 readiness are required or expected, with potential for accreditation oversight and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain Security Plus Certification within first 6 months of employment.
• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Security Plus Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Systems, vulnerability, infrastructure and/or cyber security background.
• Cross-functional coordination/communication to achieve project goals.
• Strong computer proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office experience; above-average Excel skills; some Microsoft Project skills.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor laws, regulations, standards and best practices for information security and ensure implementation in the organization.
• Develop, maintain and interpret policies and procedures for protection of systems, networks, people, information and property.
• Perform compliance and assessment activities related to information security, data privacy, incident management and risk management.
• Collaborate to develop risk mitigation plans and ensure accountability.
• Assess compliance, security and control risks related to information systems and technical infrastructure.
• Develop training materials and promote information security awareness.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business terms for non-technical stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits related to information security.
• May oversee DoD accreditation of secure operating systems and networks.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure DoD requirements compliance.
• May manage access requests and administer security training programs.
