The Supreme Court - Agency 5 in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Information Technology Systems Administrator to manage x86 servers running Windows and Linux, SAN storage, and related infrastructure to support the Judicial Branch IT systems.

Under limited supervision, design and maintain system security, monitor performance, perform vulnerability assessments, and provide architecture recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of related IT systems administration experience preferred.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux servers, SAN storage, and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of system security, monitoring, and incident response practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement long-term goals for maintaining the Judicial Branch IT systems infrastructure.
• Plan and execute hardware/software installations, configurations, and decommissions.
• Monitor system performance and provide technical resolutions for complex issues.
• Maintain secure configuration and operations across devices, tools, and networks.

Responsibilities include managing statewide activities and operations required to create and maintain the Nebraska Judicial Branch IT systems infrastructure. Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining the Judicial Department’s systems and software .2. Responsible for planning, architecture/design, and implementation of hardware and software installations, configurations, and decommissions .3. Responsible for monitoring and maintenance of relevant systems and associated hardware/software and provides support and troubleshooting for those systems when required .4. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices to include security tools, workstations, mobile devices, servers and network devices .5. Assists the Information Security Officer in the design and execution of system vulnerability assessments, system penetration tests, and system security audit.6.
