The Information Technology Supervisor II is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating activities for business analysts and software development staff assigned to the Time and Pay (T&P) Unit. This is a project management position with a focus on custom software development. The T&P Unit is responsible for analysis, coding/development, testing, and documentation for very complex, high-cost, multi-year, statewide projects in support of California Highway Patrol uniformed and nonuniformed staff.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no more than one page in length, and 12-point Arial font. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and is encouraged to think outside of the box. Experience with leading a team of software developers. Experience using DevOps and other Microsoft products, and an understanding of the Agile methodology.
