Position Description

You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Information Security) in the Intelligence Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will use enhanced knowledge of information systems design in order to evaluate and recommend alternate design approaches to include functional system, ADP equipment, telecommunications facilities, and security requirements.


• You will participate in security status meetings to keep informed of all activities, problems, and issues relevant to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) network security.


• You will coordinate with the Special Security Officer (SSO) for handling, storing, disposing of, and marking classified components, software, and documentation to ensure consistency in implementing Command policy and procedures.


• You will assist with documenting all Information Security vulnerabilities and new threats detected in the network, as well as assisting with protective and corrective measures if a security problem is discovered.
