Job Description And Duties

THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Enterprise Applications Section (EAS). The Information Technology Specialist II performs the most complex/critical tasks in connection with defining business metrics, synthesizing user data presented in dashboards, identifying gaps in user data, and delivering data analytics solutions in support of the EDD's public facing web content.

The successful candidate can use analytic tools to assess the effectiveness of websites and web applications and will possess a thorough understanding of Google technologies including Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Cloud Console, Looker Studio, BigQuery; and demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing superior customer service. This position also interfaces at an expert level with infrastructure and security technical engineers within the EDD's Information Technology Branch, the California Department of Technology (CDT), and third-party vendors/contractors.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Position exists at EDD’s Headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California.
