Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (DCISO), the incumbent provides journey-level technical support for systems related to virtual currency and digital financial assets, including secure interface operations, application support, systems administration functions, security testing support, and troubleshooting. The incumbent supports implementation and maintenance of secure data exchanges, interfaces, APIs, file transmissions, databases, and system configurations used to process program transactions and communicate with third-party service providers.


The incumbent is responsible for maintaining technical procedures and support documentation, assisting with governance and compliance support activities, supporting vulnerability remediation and penetration testing, monitoring system health and issue queues, and troubleshooting digital financial asset systems and other related systems. The incumbent may use approved security tools, including Burp Suite, to assist with testing, validation, and defect analysis under established procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following.


Candidates must have the ability to perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Information Technology Specialist I duty statement tasks are to be carried out under general supervision and following industry standard unless specified.


Duties Performed


  • Digital Financial Assets Systems Integration and Interface Support. Implement, maintain, monitor, and enhance secure interfaces, APIs, file transfer processes, certificates, service accounts, and related technical components supporting digital financial asset operations. Coordinate technical changes with vendors and third-party integrators, support interface configuration and testing, review processing issues, and help ensure stable system connectivity, accurate data exchanges, and timely transaction processing.

  • Production Operations and Technical Troubleshooting. Review logs, monitor system health, analyze processing failures, and resolve application, interface, authentication, connectivity, database, and job scheduling issues affecting digital financial asset systems and related interfacing systems. Troubleshoot incidents, document findings, coordinate corrective actions with technical teams and external partners, and provide production support to maintain operational continuity and service reliability.

  • Systems Administration, Configuration, and Documentation. Support systems administration functions, configuration management, environment support, technical procedures, run books, implementation guides, and operational documentation needed to maintain secure and reliable services. Assist with setup and maintenance of service accounts, certificates, scripts, application settings, and other technical configurations, and help ensure support documentation remains accurate and current.

  • Security Support and Penetration Testing Assistance. Support secure configuration activities, vulnerability review, remediation testing, compliance-related technical tasks, and application security testing for supported systems. Assist with penetration testing and validation activities, including use of approved tools such as Burp Suite to inspect traffic, reproduce issues, validate fixes, support security assessments, and document technical findings for review and remediation.

  • Miscellaneous ISO Support. Perform other related technical and administrative duties to support Information Security Office priorities and organizational needs, including special assignments, support coordination, training support, documentation updates, issue tracking, customer support activities, and other work as directed.

  • This position supports systems handling sensitive digital financial asset and security-related information. Describe how you have balanced operational urgency with confidentiality, integrity, availability, and compliance requirements when coordinating work with technical teams, business users, vendors, or external partners.

  • Explain your experience supporting secure configurations, vulnerability remediation, or assisting with penetration testing activities. Describe tools or techniques you have used (e.g., Burp Suite), how you validated fixes, and how you documented findings for review and remediation.
