Job summary

The Department of Justice seeks an Information Technology Specialist (Applications) within the IT Development and Analysis cluster, titled Applications Specialist, assigned to the Office of Information Technology, Office of Management Programs, Civil Division, Department of Justice.

For GS-2210-14, applicants must meet one year of specialized experience in Federal Service, defining technical requirements and supporting modernization of enterprise applications, including cloud-based solutions;

Qualifications

• Define technical requirements and support the implementation and modernization of enterprise applications, including COTS and cloud-based solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in software development, system integration, testing, and performance improvement.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements into application lifecycles, support security assessments, and ensure compliance with federal standards.
• Manage technical projects, coordinate upgrades or modernization efforts, and serve as a liaison across business, technical, and cybersecurity stakeholders.

Job description

This position is an Information Technology Specialist (Applications) within the IT Development and Analysis cluster. The position carries the organizational title of Applications Specialist and is assigned to the Office of Office of Information Technology, Office of Management Programs, Civil Division, Department of Justice.

Basic Qualifications (2210 series):

Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.

AND

Specialized Experience:

To qualify for the position of Information Technology Specialist (Applications), at GS-2210-14, you must meet have at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal Service, performing duties such as defining technical requirements and supporting the implementation and modernization of enterprise applications, including COTS and cloud-based solutions; providing technical leadership in software development, system integration, testing, and performance improvement; integrating cybersecurity requirements into application lifecycles, supported security assessments, and ensured compliance with federal standards; managing technical projects, coordinating upgrades or modernization efforts, and serving as a liaison across business, technical, and cybersecurity stakeholders.
