Job description

This position offers a pay range of $66,951.00 to $85,138.00 annually, depending on skills and experience. The role involves providing operational support to state agencies, supporting technology initiatives, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing enterprise networks, and supporting telecommunication equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and resolve support tickets, create reports, and support enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Assist in diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, mobile devices, and related hardware and software.
  • Manage enterprise networks and telecommunication systems, including VoIP and mobile devices.
  • Follow troubleshooting protocols to resolve helpdesk issues and document activities.
  • Provide user education and develop documentation for new technologies.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science, or
  • One year of IT experience with a bachelor’s degree in any field, or
  • 60 semester credit hours including 15 in computer science plus one year of IT experience, or
  • Two years of professional IT experience.

Additional requirements include NYS residency within six months of hire, and some positions may require fingerprinting, travel, or lifting up to 50 lbs. Positions located in New York City or Mid-Hudson receive additional location pay.
