US Air Combat Command is accepting applications for a Non-appropriated Fund position assigned to the McEleveen Library Shaw AFB. Open to all applicants with eligibility listed and ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Qualifying experience covers computer hardware, software, networking, and IT asset protection. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, have a valid driver's license, and be willing to work evenings and weekends on occasion.

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the McEleveen Library Shaw AFB.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Have thorough knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and commonly used networking protocols.
• Have the ability to analyze and resolve computer hardware, software and networking problems.
• Have the ability to safeguard and maintain various information technology assets.
• Have detailed and specific knowledge of the work process, data models, work rules, file/database designs and computer/operating procedures of assigned programs.
• Also, the ability to recognize areas of interaction and overlap between proposed and existing systems.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Satisfactorily complete secret security clearance.
• Preferred at least A+, and or Security+, and/or Network +, or obtain within 6 months.
• Requires satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• Have and maintain a current driver's license.
• Be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends and be on call.
