Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville, WI is seeking an Information Technology Site Support Technician to provide on-site technical support for end users and maintain computer and network hardware.

The role involves handling service tickets, assisting with applications, OS, hardware, printers, and related peripherals, and performing duties as assigned to support patient care operations. The position requires a High School diploma or 10 years of experience and at least one year of customer

Responsibilities

• Works under the guidance of the Senior Analyst Technical Support to provide support and participate in project activities.
• Responsible for facility IS duties, minor hardware/software configuration and repairs.
• Installs, repairs, modifies, maintains and provides technical support for applications, PC operating systems, PC hardware, printers and related peripherals.
• Provides operational and administrative support; testing, printing and report distribution, backups, first line support, etc.
• Utilizes the service ticketing system to log reported issues, document resolution, and/or assign to appropriate work group.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
