The IT Project Manager IV leads large, complex technology initiatives that deliver meaningful business value across the organization. Successful candidates combine strong project management fundamentals with strategic thinking, proactive risk management, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. They bring structure to complex situations, foster collaboration across technical and business teams, and help leaders make informed decisions by providing insights, recommendations, and actionable solutions.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience with at least 3+ years leading IT-focused initiatives
- Proven experience managing large, complex, cross-functional technology projects
- Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
- Ability to operate independently, make decisions, and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments
- Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
- Track record partnering with both business and technical teams to deliver successful projects
- Experience utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planner, or similar platforms
- Strong leadership presence with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Plusses:
- Experience leading software implementation projects (COTS or internally developed applications)
- Exposure to infrastructure and hardware-related technology projects
- Experience working within a PMO environment
- AI awareness and interest in leveraging emerging technologies to improve project delivery
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- PMP or other project management certifications
Day to Day:
- Lead and coordinate multiple complex IT projects and programs with significant organizational impact
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and governance artifacts to ensure successful delivery
- Understand business objectives, requirements, project risks, dependencies, and the full project lifecycle
- Anticipate risks, issues, and resource constraints early and implement mitigation strategies before they impact delivery
- Partner with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align priorities and drive outcomes
- Provide clear, concise project performance reporting, executive communications, and recommendations to leadership
- Facilitate decision-making by presenting options, tradeoffs, risks, and solution paths
- Contribute to an "AI First" culture by evaluating opportunities to incorporate innovative technologies and processes into project delivery
Compensation:
$54/hr to $64/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
