Zillion Technologies, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead release activities and coordinate with multiple technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite role in McLean, VA requires strong Jira, ServiceNow, and Unix/Linux skills, plus a track record in release management and incident handling. You will collaborate with Release Analysts and Change Enablement to prepare artifacts and deliver releases within the SDLC framework, interacting with senior leadership and business

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in software releases.
• Strong written and verbal communication with Jira/JQL proficiency.
• Unix/Linux knowledge and scripting skills are required.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and release management practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly software release processes end-to-end.
• Oversee quality, regression testing, and automated testing activities.
• Coordinate environment changes with infrastructure teams and users.
• Serve as incident management point of contact, including RCA.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations (Northern Virginia time).

Overview

The Client is seeking a Project Manager professional to assist in managing the delivery of application releases to production for Model Implementation in their division. This challenging and rewarding position gives you an opportunity to work with various technical teams, senior leadership, and business users. In this role you will be working with few development teams, Release Analyst and Change Enablement closely to prepare and document artifacts and finally deliver the release in SDLC methodology.

Our Impact

We are the first line of defense for Financial Engineering teams. We support our team/division on all matters and activities related to Model Implementation. We also provide analytics and data around team project management to the senior leadership and all our business partners.

Responsibilities

• Technical Project Manager responsible for monthly software release management processes.
• Focus on code quality, execution of manual regression testing and support automated Junit(s).
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and impacted users to coordinate environment change.
• Point person for Incident Management including communications, resolution and root cause analysis.
• Create technical and knowledge documentation, define and drive new procedures.
• Participate in on-call schedule (supporting Northern Virginia time zone), and other related management and technical duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master Degree in information systems (MIS), computer science, or a related engineering field.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira and Release Management practices.
• Experience with Confluence Wiki and SharePoint.
• Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience.
• Technical background with 5+ years of experience developing & maintaining Java/Python software apps.
• Unix troubleshooting and Shell scripting proficiency.

Experience with Jenkins end to end build, test, deploy and integration with GIT/Artifactory

Compensation

$56.00 – $62.00 per hour. This is the targeted compensation range for this role per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
