Insight Global is assisting a Navy IT program based at Norfolk Naval Station to recruit an IT Project Manager who will lead a large, globally deployed networking and IT system and provide technical leadership to support mission-critical naval operations.

Key responsibilities include managing complex projects on time and within budget, proactively resolving risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with security requirements and DoD guidelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance required.
• 7+ years of federal IT project management experience.

IT Project Manager - Norfolk Naval Station

Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a major Navy IT program based out of Norfolk Naval Station. This role will oversee a large, globally deployed, multi-million-dollar Networking and IT system and provide technical leadership to a team of personnel supporting mission‑critical naval operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and leading complex projects and teams within schedule, cost, and scope.
• Proactively managing the project with little supervision, resolving action items, issues, and risks.
• Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.
• Controlling and monitoring project scope, time, cost, quality, and risks.
• Reporting on project performance.
• Managing stakeholder expectations.
• Leading and directing multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget and scope.
• Assessing project health and directing any necessary corrective measures.
• Creatively applying project management processes to address unique situations.
• Creating and applying comprehensive project plans; detailed project schedules, resource estimates, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities.
• Defining and documenting project work breakdowns and monitoring project status.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support

Required Skills & Experience:
