The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 to support the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) within the DTMB. The role covers analysis of complex business processes, detailed requirements gathering, and leading development efforts while coordinating with clients on system requirements.
Located in Lansing, MI, the position may operate on a hybrid schedule with requirements for in-office presence.
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
This position will serve as a senior level business analyst with the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) Agency Services supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). This position will help support a large portfolio of applications including new projects and maintenance releases. The employee performs a complete range of information system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, analyzing complex business processes, developing detailed business process flows, gathering and management of business requirements, facilitating requirements gathering sessions, trace and validate requirements, assist in system user acceptance testing, user documentation creation, and participate in the pre- and post-system implementation support as needed. This position will serve as the key lead resource to direct the developer’s construction efforts and serve as the client liaison on system requirements and application issues.
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of thefollowing: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications,networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project managementor mathematics.

Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure orProgrammer/Analyst P11. Certain positions may require certification in specific information technology programs.
