Job summary

Eastern Fisheries, Inc. seeks a seasoned IT/PM leader to drive cross-functional collaboration and manage IT projects from planning to delivery. You will guide technical initiatives, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities include optimizing systems, supporting cybersecurity, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong communication and analytic skills are essential for success in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in related technical roles, with at least 2 years in project management.
  • Systems implementations (ERP, WMS, CRM) experience highly preferred.
  • Business and systems analyst experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Data Analytics highly preferred.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.

Responsibilities

  • Construct project plans that align resources, timeline and budget.
  • Take full ownership of IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead project meetings and track tasks with escalation when needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide regular status reports on progress, risks and opportunities.
  • Identify vendors and manage the quote process and final selection.
  • Control costs and ensure work meets standards and requirements.
  • Serve as EFI’s liaison with outside technical support/vendors.
  • Triager and prioritize defects; escalate effectively.
  • Monitor system uptime and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate to implement cybersecurity and systems integration best practices.

Job description

Leadership & Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Promote a positive, collaborative company and team culture.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence others without direct authority, build alignment, and drive cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
  • Support new initiatives across the business, providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Partner cross-departmentally to promote customer success and operational efficiency.
Project Management
  • Construct project plans that align resources, timeline, budget and meet both company and stakeholders’ objectives.
  • Take full ownership of IT related projects – identify resources needed, create timeline with critical path. Manage both the timeline and budget to ensure project completes on time within budget.
  • Lead project meetings, assign and follow-up on tasks, escalating when necessary.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Keep the leadership team informed of project status, roadblocks, burn rates, new developments, opportunities and risks with regular status reports.
  • Identify vendors, manage the quote process, and recommend vendors for final selection by presenting the options with an analysis of how each aligns with project objectives.
  • Manage costs, ensure variances are necessary and approved, validate work performed meets best practices and company requirements.
  • Be the company’s liaison with outside technical support/software/hardware vendors.
Technical and Systems Expert
  • Learn the information/database structures, identify opportunities for streamlining and support data cleaning efforts. Document / diagram information and systems flow.
  • Take responsibility to triage, prioritize, and track defects. Demonstrate the ability to know when and how to elevate effectively.
  • Monitor changes in the external IT landscape to identify opportunities, leverage technical tools/systems and minimize risks to contribute to EFI’s continuous improvement both at the department and company level.
  • Act as the in-house IT expert. Troubleshoot issues. Support employees with IT issues, coordinating with external vendors to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Monitor and maximize system uptime. Identify and resolve issues to continuously improve this metric.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional management and external vendors to implement best practices for cybersecurity, systems integration, lifecycle management and user support.
  • Drive the adoption throughout the company of best practices in systems processes, tools and techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in related technical roles, at least 2 years in project management.
  • Systems implementations (ERP, WMS, CRM) experience highly preferred.
  • Business and systems analyst experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Data Analytics highly preferred.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills.
