Job summary

Wythe County Community Hospital is seeking an Information Technology Technician to join our IT team in Wythe County, VA. The role supports mobile devices, desktops, servers and user access, delivering solutions within standard SLAs and escalating where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree in IT is preferred.
• 2 years IT experience is preferred, ideally in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, resolves and closes customer issues according to service level guidelines; escalates when necessary.
• Provides support for mobile devices, configures desktop operating systems and servers, and manages account access and passwords.
• Provides end-user desktop training and minor hardware/peripheral repair.

How you'll contribute

An Information Technology Technician who excels in this role:

• Diagnoses, resolves and closes customer issues according to service level guidelines. Promptly escalates issues to higher level technical support or management when necessary.
• Provides support for mobile phones, configures desktop operating systems and servers, and manages account access, password resets, and user access privileges.
• Provides end‑user desktop training and minor hardware/peripheral repair as appropriate.

What we're looking for -

Applicants should have a High school diploma or equivalent.

• Associate's degree IT or related field is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in IT or related field is preferred, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Must be possess high level of customer service.
