Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Participate in an 11-week internship program delivering innovative solutions to real projects impacting Meijer's business.
• Work within Information Technology across areas including Digital Solutions and Applications Development, Information Security, Enterprise Systems and Tools, IT Enterprise Architecture, and IT Operations and Infrastructure.
• Gain hands‑on experience designing, coding, testing, and supporting software applications for digital shopping, Pharmacy, Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and enterprise systems.
• Contribute to business analytics, reporting, system configuration, integration, and process improvement.
• Engage with cloud technologies, automation, machine learning, and infrastructure management.
• Deliver final presentations to senior executives and participate in executive speaker series and networking events.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

• Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Customer focus and dedication to meeting expectations of internal and external customers.
• Strong relationship skills to build positive working connections with customers, team members, leadership, and partners.
• Effective communication skills to explain technical work clearly in writing and verbally, including to non-technical audiences.

Preferred skills vary by project and may include:

• Microsoft technologies such as Azure, .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
• Programming languages including Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), and mobile development.
• Knowledge of enterprise platforms like SAP and Workday, cloud-native development concepts, data analytics, AI/machine learning, Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Systems analysis, requirements gathering, integration concepts, solution architecture, and application portfolio management.
• Understanding of distributed systems, telecommunications, network and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure as code, scripting, automation, and AIOps.
