Job Posting Title: Information Technology Coordinator I

Location: AUSTIN, TX

Earliest Start Date: Immediately

Position Duration: Expected to Continue

Note: Flexible work arrangements are available for this position, including the ability to work remotely 8 to 16 hours a week depending on project needs. Travel limited to training such as conferences or courses. This position provides a life/work balance with typically a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate physical security installation project requirements in support of new construction and remodel initiatives across UT Austin owned and operated spaces. Communicate project needs and requirements to support entities on campus to ensure high-quality solutions. Support ongoing hardware lifecycle projects and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide consulting support and technical design review for new physical security projects on campus and serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating physical security improvements across the UT Austin campus.
  • Maintain documentation for access control, intrusion and video projects.
  • Collaborate with campus building managers, facility designers and lab managers on security design and project estimation.
  • Participate in the On-Call rotation. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • VMS and ACS certifications such as Milestone, Lenel or Genetec
  • ASIS or PMP certifications
Driving

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. The driving record will be evaluated to determine eligibility to drive a university owned vehicle.

Salary

$65,000+ depending on qualifications

Work Shift

Monday – Friday, flexible between 7am-6pm; may require occasional overtime nights and/or weekends. On-call work required on a rotating six-week schedule.
