Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Information Technology/Assurance Specialist II to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The role supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) and provides day-to-day assistance for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.

You will lead complex security controls, manage AIS accreditation, and mentor staff while ensuring strict adherence to DoD policies and RMF/JSIG guidance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience.
• 8+ years of total related experience.
• 6+ years of SCI or SAP experience.
• Familiarity with ICDs, JAFANs, and DoD manuals.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M for IAT Level 2 and IAM Level 1 (Security+ CE) within 6 months.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

The Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting SMC Directorates and/or AFSPC Operational Units. You will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Establishing complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
• Maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, and Security Monitoring Systems while ensuring all system documentation is current.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance and support operational tests.
• Reviewing, preparing, and updating AIS accreditation packages and notifying customers of changes affecting certification.
• Identifying AIS vulnerabilities, implementing effective countermeasures, and performing routine AIS self-inspections.
• Ensuring all AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in strict accordance with security policies.
• Providing leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members while managing account creations and help desk support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or additional 4 years of experience.
• 8+ years of total related experience.
• 6+ years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
• Familiarity with security policy manuals including ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, and guiding policy documents.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M for (IAT) Level 2, (IAM) Level 1, requirements within 6 months of the date of hire (i.e Security+ CE).
• Must Complete training: (JSIG) Joint Security Implementation Guidance, (RMF) Risk Management Framework, (ISCM) Information Security Continuous Monitoring (If supported organization requires development of AIS accreditation packages).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of SAP-related experience is highly desired.
• Completed training on Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL1 & PL2 systems; experience with PL3 & PL4 cross-domain solutions is desired.
• Possession of a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision.

Clearance Requirements:

• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Applicants must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
