Information Technology / Assurance (IT / IA) Specialist III

General Dynamics is seeking an IT Assurance Specialist to support Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts, primarily working within Special Access Programs (SAPs). The role involves providing daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.

Responsibilities include:

1. Establishing complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
2. Maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and documentation.
3. Analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimal performance.
4. Preparing systems for operational use and supporting operational tests.
5. Reviewing, preparing, and updating authorization packages.
6. Notifying customers of changes affecting authorization accreditation.
7. Conducting cybersecurity inspections and reviews of evidence supporting authorization packages.
8. Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
9. Ensuring proper operation, maintenance, and disposal of information systems and network appliances in accordance with security policies.

External Client Support:

1. Creating, modifying, and deleting accounts across multiple authorization boundaries.
2. Configuring, upgrading, and modifying hardware/software systems.
3. Patching systems and network appliances.
4. Supporting media control and accountability activities.
5. Managing COMSEC accounts and equipment.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of related experience.
• At least 2 years of SAP experience.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).

Certifications:

IAT or IAM Level II certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security).

Security Clearance:

TS/SCI clearance required to start; ability to attain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
