Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor I, the Information Technology Associate serves as a Business Analyst for the Agency, performing a broad variety of technical tasks in support of various applications and systems used by the Agency. The incumbent will assist in solving organizational issues by analyzing requirements and recommending solutions.

Working Conditions

Hybrid telework schedules are available. The amount of telework is at CalHFA’s discretion and is based on operational needs. IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE WILL BE REQUIRED WEEKLY.
Our office is in 500 Capitol Mall, a high-rise building conveniently located in downtown Sacramento with access to public transportation (light rail and bus) and freeways (I-5, 99, and Business 80). It is one block from Downtown Commons (DOCO), the Golden 1 Center, and many restaurants. Employees also have free access to the gym located in the building. Candidates who are new to state service will be placed at the minimum of the salary range. VISA SPONSERSHIP: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employers in the U.S. CalHFA is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa. CalHFA does not participate in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Optional Practical Training extension program (STEM OPT).

Minimum Qualifications

Eighteen months as an Information Technology Technician;

OR

Two years of general information technology experience performing technical, analytical, or support tasks for computer systems or services in any of the six domains or emerging information technology fields;

OR

60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) from an accredited college or university including at least 15 semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work;

OR

Any equivalent combination of experience and education.

When using education to meet minimum qualifications, education must include the specified information technology or closely related course work.
