Hours per Week: 20 hr/wk
Weekends Required: May come up at some point for a special event, but not routinely.
Evenings Required: May come up at some point for a special event, but not routinely.

Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): 100% Support the Senior Applications Administrator with a variety of technology and administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting software issues with the University's learning management system, course evaluation system, and video conferencing software, maintaining & updating electronic records, editing documentation, preparing for meetings, and coordinating activities with members of other departments.

Assist with the planning, organization, coordination, and technical support for online events as needed.

Method to assess remote work: Completed projects will be submitted to the supervisor, who will ascertain if project was completed successfully or if further revision is required. In the case of Zoom events, attendance at those events and providing support as needed, as determined by the supervisor.

Job Description

  • This position supports the Senior Applications Administrator performing a wide variety of technology-related tasks.
  • A work schedule with regular but flexible shifts will be established. Occasional event evening support may be required, with advance notice and working around the student’s class schedule.

    Essential Functions

  • Support the Senior Applications Administrator with a variety of technology and administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting software issues with the University's learning management system, course evaluation system, and video conferencing software, maintaining & updating electronic records, editing documentation, preparing for meetings, and coordinating activities with members of other departments. (75%)
  • Assist with the planning, organization, coordination, and technical support for online events as needed. (10%)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. (15%)

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing demeanor, strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Competence in a variety of computer technologies (MS Office applications, Adobe, Google Calendar & Drive), be capable of basic technological troubleshooting (printers, thumb drives) and have a willingness to learn anything not known.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
