Beltrami Electric Cooperative in Bemidji, MN is seeking an experienced Information Technology Administrator to oversee and strengthen our technology infrastructure while leading key cybersecurity initiatives.

The role focuses on securing systems, supporting staff, and advancing best IT practices across the organization, including PCI compliance, monitoring security events, and coordinating vulnerability testing. The position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination.
• Two to four years of experience supporting desktop environments (imaging, group policy, asset inventory).
• Two to four years of experience with network and server administration (TCP/IP, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server).
• One to two years of experience supporting cybersecurity programs, security monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity, end-user security and PCI compliance programs.
• Monitor security events from servers, firewalls, IDS for breaches or policy violations.
• Investigate security incidents and advise remediation actions.
• Develop and deliver employee security awareness and training.
• Plan vulnerability assessments, scans, and security testing activities.
• Assist in maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify tech needs and propose solutions.
• Consult and propose changes to IT policies and operational practices.
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Assist with system administration, infrastructure maintenance, and projects.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Beltrami Electric Cooperative (BEC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Information Technology Administrator to support and enhance our technology infrastructure while leading key cybersecurity and information security initiatives.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead BECs cybersecurity, end-user security and PCI compliance programs and initiatives.
• Monitor security events from servers, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) for potential security breaches or policy violations.
• Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations to the IT Manager and CEO regarding remediation efforts and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver employee security awareness and cybersecurity training programs.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule internal and external vulnerability assessments, scans, and security testing activities.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify technology needs and recommend effective solutions.
• Consult and propose changes to IT policies, procedures, and best operational practices.
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Assist with system administration, infrastructure maintenance, and technology projects.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning efforts.

What makes you a good fit:

• Degree, certification, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of this position.
• Two to four years of experience supporting desktop environments, including desktop imaging, group policy, and asset inventory administration.
• Two to four years of experience with network and server administration, including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• One to two years of experience supporting cybersecurity programs, security monitoring, and incident response activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to users at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Compensation & Benefits:

Beltrami Electric Cooperative offers an excellent pay and benefits package. The starting salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. The final compensation offered will be based on the successful candidates qualifications, experience and skill level.
