Job summary

Conduent is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to protect Medicaid information systems, ensure compliance with security policies, and manage risks to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data.

This position is contingent upon award of a government contract; start dates depend on contract approval, funding, and pre-employment conditions, with potential pre‑award activities ongoing.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of professional experience in information security compliance.
• Two (2) years of direct experience in HIPAA compliance.
• Knowledge of NIST and federal and state security/privacy laws.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, health information management, or equivalent work experience.
• CISSP or CISM certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the client’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform data.
• Maintain compliance with Medicaid Enterprise Security policy.
• Collaborate with ISO and GRC to ensure policy alignment.
• Plan and direct system security for the solution.
• Lead in compliance with Medicaid Enterprise Security policy and audits.
• Coordinate with Data Governance, Privacy, and Security offices.
• Implement and maintain Medicaid Enterprise Security Policy procedures.
• Monitor daily program operations and risk mitigation activities.

Information Systems Security Officer (MMIS)

Conduent is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to be responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing risks to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data.

This position is contingent upon the award of a government contract. Recruiting and interviewing activities may occur prior to contract award; however, employment and start dates are subject to contract award, funding, customer approval requirements, and/or satisfaction of any applicable pre‑employment conditions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all information in the client’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) management platform
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Medicaid Enterprise Security policy
• Work with the client’s ISO and GRC to ensure compliance with the Medicaid Enterprise Security Policy
• Responsible for planning and directing System Security for the solution
• Serve as the leader in compliance with the Medicaid Enterprise Security policy
• Serve as leader in all State and Federal Security requirements and compliance (e.g., audits and security testing)
• Ensure integration and alignment with Data Governance office, Privacy office, and Security office tools
• Implement and maintain the policies and procedures in support of the Medicaid Enterprise Security Policy
• Perform daily program operations and program development
• Monitor program compliance
• Risk mitigation, development, and activities related to the Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) to close vulnerabilities

Requirements

• Five (5) years of professional experience in information security compliance
• Two (2) years of direct experience in HIPAA compliance
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with NIST, Federal Information Security policies/requirements, HIPAA, and other related State and Federal information privacy laws, security laws, and breach notification laws
• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in information technology, health information management; or equivalent work experience
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with MARS-e or ARC-AMPE

Benefits

Salary: $119,350 - $155,000. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
