Job summary

Bow Wave LLC in Washington, DC area seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Lead with Top Secret clearance. The role includes serving as Task Lead and stepping in as ISSO for additional systems across several sites.

Applicants should have 7+ years as ISSO/ISSE at cleared facilities, 9+ years in cybersecurity, and certifications such as CISSP, GISP, CASP, or IAM III. Familiarity with Nessus, Splunk, Guardium, and other security tools is required.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one of CISSP, GISP, or CASP, or IAM III proficiency.
• 7+ years as ISSO/ISSE at a cleared facility.
• 9+ years of experience in computer science or cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with the listed security tools (Nessus, Security Center, Splunk, Guardium, WebInspect, NMAP) or similar.
• Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in CS/IT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Task Lead.
• Fill in as an ISSO for additional systems as needed.

Work Description:

Required Experience/Skills/Certifications:

• Possess at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), or the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or other certifications exemplifying skill sets such as those described in DoD Instruction 8570.1 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III proficiency.
• Possesses at least 7 years' experience serving as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Engineer at a cleared facility.
• Minimum of 9 years of work experience in a computer science or Cybersecurity related field.
• Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, Splunk, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications
• Possess a bachelor's and/or advanced degree in computer science, business management, or IT related discipline is preferred.
