Bluehawk, LLC is seeking an ISSO to ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system. The ISSO will work closely with the ISSM and ISO, managing the security aspects of an information system, including physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness. The role involves monitoring the information system(s), developing and updating authorization documentation, implementing configuration management across authorization boundaries, and assessing security impacts of changes, making recommendations to the ISSM. The position primarily supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, OSD, and Military Compartments, providing day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the ISSM in meeting their duties and responsibilities.
  2. Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
  3. Ensure approved procedures are in place for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media.
  4. Notify ISSM of changes affecting the authorization determination.
  5. Conduct periodic reviews of information systems for compliance.
  6. Coordinate hardware, software, or firmware changes with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to implementation.
  7. Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features are properly restored.
  8. Maintain current and accessible security documentation.
  9. Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
  10. Attend required technical and security training relevant to assigned duties.
  11. Execute cybersecurity self-inspections and coordinate system assessments.
  12. Identify vulnerabilities and assist with implementing countermeasures.
  13. Prepare reports on security safeguards.
  14. Support ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
  15. Conduct security impact analyses for configuration changes.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Prior roles such as System, Network Administrator, or ISSO.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years).

Certifications:

  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements for IAT Level II or IAM II within 6 months of hire.

Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to submit to a CI polygraph.
  • Eligibility for access to SAP Information.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
