Job summary

Mystic Spear LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the TACLAN mission by monitoring information systems for potential security breaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and assisting in various incident investigation activities.

This role requires journeyman-level experience in information systems security or cybersecurity, along with strong skills in vulnerability assessment and incident response. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The position is based at the NTS Pinewood Facility in Tampa, Florida.

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

Position Summary

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) supports the TACLAN mission by monitoring information systems and networks for potential security breaches, identifying vulnerabilities, and assisting in incident investigation and response activities. This role contributes to maintaining system security posture through the development and application of security standards, as well as documentation and reporting of security events and metrics.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify and assess vulnerabilities in computer and network systems
• Monitor systems for security breaches, suspicious activity, and attempted attacks
• Support investigation and documentation of security incidents
• Develop and recommend security standards and best practices
• Prepare reports on security metrics, incidents, and overall system security posture

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience

• Journeyman-level experience (typically 3 years) in information systems security, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Experience supporting network and/or systems security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response activities
