Great Hill Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). This remote position requires travel to the client site as needed. You will support the Naval Air Systems Command (NavAir), particularly the Digital Analytics, Infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group, and projects related to Naval Leveraging Innovation, Frameworks and Technology (LIFT), and the Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).

As an ISSO, you will ensure the security of the organization's information systems and data by developing security policies, conducting risk assessments, overseeing security controls, providing security training, managing incidents, maintaining compliance, coordinating with IT, and preparing security reports.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement security policies: Create and maintain policies, procedures, and standards related to information security.
• Conduct risk assessments: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to protect information assets.
• Oversee security controls: Ensure security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls are maintained.
• Provide security training: Educate employees on security best practices and policies.
• Manage security incidents: Investigate and respond to security breaches or cyberattacks.
• Maintain compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Coordinate with IT staff: Work with IT professionals to integrate security into system designs.
• Prepare and present security reports: Regularly update management on security posture.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulators: Ensure compliance and security standards are met.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans: Prepare for and recover from disruptions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in information security, auditing, or related areas.
• Experience with RMF and ATO processes.
• Knowledge of STIGs and DevSecOps activities.
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and security planning.
• Leadership in security incident response.
• Familiarity with system classification levels, including DOD and NIST SP 800 standards.
• Eligibility for Top Secret clearance.
• CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary range: $140,000—$160,000 USD, based on experience and other factors.
