Position Summary

Position: Information Systems Security Officer, GS 13

Division: Phoenix Field Office

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Working Hours: 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (hours may vary)

Salary: GS 13 $110,236.00-$143,308.00

Full Performance Level: GS 13

Number of Positions: 1

Duration: Full Time / Permanent

Key Requirements
  • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
  • Some travel may be required
  • Complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-450) annually
  • Complete form FD-887 for SCI access
Major Duties
  • Serve as a FO INFOSEC SME, supporting secure computing and digital management, working with CSO and security staff
  • Conduct discovery of FO Information Systems, develop security documentation, and assess risks
  • Ensure system security requirements are addressed throughout the IS lifecycle
  • Participate in system design to ensure security policies are implemented
  • Lead response to insider threats, malware incidents, data spillages, or cybersecurity incidents
  • Coordinate reporting, mitigation, root cause analysis, and prevention recommendations
Qualifications and Evaluations

Applicants must demonstrate specialized experience including security analyses, vulnerability assessments, and security guidance across the system lifecycle. Experience with security tools, threat response, and communication skills are essential.

Preferred Skills

Certifications such as CAP, CISSP, GSLC, or CISM are desirable but not mandatory.
