Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to serve as the principal advisor on all cybersecurity matters related to unclassified and classified information systems for USSTRATCOM, supporting Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, Nebraska.

  1. Ensure the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in accordance with government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, and document activities.
  2. Provide information security support and design recommendations aligned with DoD security policies and compliance mandates, fulfilling customer requirements.
  3. Perform periodic assessments of systems and networks, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  4. Support security processes, analysis, coordination, certification tests, documentation, investigations, research, and audits.
  5. Analyze security requirements and recommend additional safeguards.
  6. Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) activities, including preparation, participation, analysis, and reporting.
  7. Document Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, prepare System Security Plans, and update Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  8. Oversee and guide information security personnel, ensuring compliance and minimizing security risks and insider threats.
  9. Ensure systems are properly configured, optimized, tested, and compliant with policies such as STIGs.
  10. Manage cybersecurity processes, including documentation of access controls on network devices.
  11. Assess cybersecurity controls' performance and validate security measures.
  12. Evaluate cybersecurity risks and implement corrective actions using tools like Remedy, eMASS, XACTA, ACAS.
  13. Oversee patch management and security updates, ensuring compliance with tasking orders.
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD; or 12 years of relevant experience in a DoD environment in lieu of degree.

Clearance needed: DoD TS/SCI

Certification needed: Cybersecurity certificate at DoD8570.01 IAM Level II (e.g., CGRC, CASP, CISSP, CISM), to be acquired within 120 days of employment.

$86,000 - $138,000, depending on experience and other factors.
