Position Overview

ARSIEM is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer 3 to serve as a security engineering representative on engineering teams. The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and integrating secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. The position supports a government client in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform or review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, non-compliance with IA standards, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  2. Validate and verify system security requirements and establish security designs.
  3. Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems, including those for networks, computing, and enclave environments with varying data classifications.
  4. Support security architecture development and enforce trusted relations among external systems.
  5. Assess and mitigate security threats throughout the system lifecycle.
  6. Apply system security engineering expertise across various domains such as security design, risk management, intrusion detection, and certification processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 20 years of experience as an Information System Security Engineer.
  • Knowledge of IA principles including confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control.
  • Experience supporting security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS NISCAP, DoD RMF, and NIST RMF.
  • Experience working directly with customers and project teams.
  • Ability to develop system-level security solutions and architectural plans.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field required.
  • Master's Degree may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Additional four years of ISSE experience can substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
Certifications
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 required.
  • ISSEP or ISSAP certification required.
  • CISSP certification required.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $193,000 – $216,000 annually, based on factors including responsibilities, experience, and skills. Benefits details are available on our website.

Additional Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
Referral Program

Refer qualified candidates and earn a bonus of $10,000 if they are successfully placed and stay employed for six months.
