Job summary
LV8D Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to lead security engineering activities across the system lifecycle. The role requires translating protection requirements into acquisition and development artifacts, and coordinating with A&A stakeholders.
Ideal candidates bring ICD 503 familiarity, multi-OS experience (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac), and hands-on skills in security design, COTS/GOTS integration, and project leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with ICD 503 and the Government's certification and accreditation process
- Proficient with networks, computer components, system protocols, and COTS/GOTS products
- Knowledge of system methodologies including: client/server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers
- Expertise in software integration of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products
- Education relevant to computer engineering, information security, information management, and/or computer science
- Experience in technical project management
- Technical experience in configuring and supporting Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS
- Technical experience in VMware, Xen, Hyper V
- Technical experience in software engineering, program design and implementation, configuration management, system maintenance, integration testing, and information system engineering
- High school's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience

LV8D Solutions is seeking an ISSE to capture and refine information protection requirements to ensure their integration into information systems acquisitions and information system development through purposeful security design or configuration. Interested candidates must be knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls including software engineering methodologies, security engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure coding techniques and coordinate activities with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) stakeholders. Additionally, interested candidates need to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment; are highly motivated and not afraid to take on uncharted territory; possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; and be able to prioritize their time to be effective in a dynamic environment.

Must have one of the following IAT Level III Certification:
- CISSP
- CASP
- CISA
- GCED
- GCIH
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph
- On-site work in a government or contractor facility
- Occasional travel (up to 10%)
- This position is dependent on a contract seat being awarded
