Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Revenue is seeking an Auditor - Information Systems to support annual risk assessments and audit planning, with a focus on information systems. You will develop audit plans, assist other auditors with software tools, and prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings.

Qualified candidates will have appropriate education and experience in auditing and information systems, along with the potential for career progression within the department’s divisions.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in financial auditing, program auditing, or information technology.
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in specified fields plus one year in auditing/IT.
• A bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours plus one year in auditing/IT.
• A bachelor's degree in specified fields plus one year in auditing/IT.
• MCSE certification or equivalent is acceptable.
• Advanced degree in relevant fields is favorable.
• CPA/CIA/CISA/CISSP designations are recognized.

Responsibilities

• Assist in annual risk assessment and the development of the annual audit plan, acting as SME in information systems areas.
• Recommend updates to the audit manual as needed.
• Provide audit software support to other auditors; may train others on information retrieval systems.
• Prepares audit plans for assigned audits.
• Complete auditing procedures and write reports detailing procedures and issues.
