LockheedMartin Rotary and Mission Systems in Lemoore, CA is seeking a Systems Administrator to sustain and operate F-35 training system devices for Navy training operations. The role requires strong Windows Server administration, AD, and virtualization expertise.

The successful candidate will work with a diverse team, provide support across shifts (including weekends), and help ensure secure, available training systems.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation closure date within the last 5 years and ability to obtain SAP access.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience administering Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10, domain services, networking, antivirus, and application control.
• Active Directory administration proficiency for managing user accounts and access control.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi and VMware Horizon experience.

Responsibilities

Assignment: F‑35 Systems Administrator located in Lemoore, California, in support of training operations benefiting the U.S. Navy.

The Systems Administrator will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F‑35 training system devices, with a long‑term assignment to Lemoore, CA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications, as well as setting up and monitoring training computer networks. He/she will perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, and training tasks to ensure the training computer network meets system requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the LockheedMartin training team to fulfill F‑35 training objectives and will have experience working in an environment that requires interaction with multiple functional areas and personnel with different backgrounds and expertise.

Key Responsibilities (may Include, But Are Not Limited To)

• Interacting daily with users and LM leadership.


• System/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring.


• Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi‑user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2, and engineers.


• Laptop re‑imaging, troubleshooting, and account maintenance.


• Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance.


• Training IT administrators and users on the academic training systems as needed.


• Scheduling and leading installations, modifications, and maintenance of training systems.


• Supporting and coordinating verification and validation of installations and modifications to systems.


• Acquiring and submitting metrics for review, documenting system anomalies, and forwarding relevant data to appropriate organizations for analysis and resolution.


• Collaborating with other organizations to improve operational performance and configuring systems to operate within approved guidelines.


• Interfacing directly with customers and personnel to resolve “break/fix” issues, establish approved access to resources, and ensure system services are available to support daily academic operations.


• Ensuring compliance with all approved procedures and guidelines and supporting respective audits.

Basic Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation closure date within the last 5 years and be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.


• Bachelors Degree


• Systems Administration Experience with activities in Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 administration, domain services, networking, antivirus, and application control.


• Active Directory Administration showing proficiency in managing user accounts and access control.


• Virtualization Technology with strong experience in VMware vSphere, ESXi, VMware Horizon.


• Network Services Administration involving DHCP, DNS, and direct customer support in an IT role.


• Demonstrated Experience in Troubleshooting showcasing the proven ability to troubleshoot complex information systems and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.


• Flexibility in Work Hours with the requirement to work multiple shifts and support some weekend work.


• Security+ Certification requiring possession of a current certification or the ability to obtain it within 2 months from the date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Desired Skills

• Ability to brief and teach technical information to both internal and external audiences.


• Ability to lead and mentor other team members.


• Previous experience working with the Finnish Air Force as a customer is desirable.


• VMware Professional Certification with demonstrated expertise in managing and configuring virtual environments.


• Networking certifications showcasing proficiency in networking technologies and best practices.


• Web applications and web server experience involving practical experience in deploying and managing web applications and web servers.


• Experience with F-35 Training Management System and Learning Management System indicating familiarity with these specific systems, which is highly beneficial for effective role performance.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00
