Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support the ISSM in maintaining the security posture of systems, programs, and enclaves supporting classified environments.
• Implement and enforce DoD/ODNI security policies, standards, and RMF methodologies.
• Develop and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and authorization packages.
• Evaluate security controls to ensure compliance for processing classified information.
• Manage security-related configuration management and assess security impact of changes.
• Maintain inventories of information system components and upgrades.
• Perform day-to-day security operations including user administration and monitoring.
• Support ATO activities and continuous monitoring by coordinating remediation of findings.
• Plan and support information assurance and cybersecurity programs to ensure ongoing compliance.

Information System Security Officer (Mid-Senior Level)

Full-Time | On-Site | TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph Required

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining the security posture of information systems, programs, and enclaves supporting classified and sensitive environments.
• Implement, coordinate, and enforce information system security policies, standards, procedures, and methodologies in accordance with DoD, ODNI, and organizational requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update cybersecurity and accreditation documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), security policies, authorization packages, and other RMF-related artifacts.
• Evaluate security controls, technologies, and solutions to ensure compliance with security requirements for processing classified information.
• Manage security-related configuration management (CM) activities, including the review, documentation, and assessment of hardware, software, firmware, and system changes for security impact.
• Maintain records and inventories of information system components, including workstations, servers, network devices, firewalls, and system upgrades.
• Perform day-to-day security operations, including user account management, identification and authentication administration, security monitoring, and compliance activities.
• Support Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities and continuous monitoring efforts by preparing required documentation, performing security assessments, and coordinating remediation of findings.
• Plan, coordinate, and support information assurance and cybersecurity programs to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable federal, DoD, and organizational security requirements.
• Assess, document, and mitigate system vulnerabilities and security risks while maintaining the operational security posture of assigned information systems.
