Job Description: Information System Security Officer (Level 1)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

What you will do:

As a Classified Cybersecurity ISSO, you will secure critical engineering and manufacturing systems, contributing to national security and technological advancements.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting daily security operations: Hardware and software implementations.
  2. Technical administration of IS: Ensuring compliance with internal and customer security requirements, primarily following RMF.
  3. Monitoring and responding to security events: Incident analysis and response.
  4. Documenting compliance actions: Using automated systems or developing POA&M to address non-compliance.
  5. Ensuring system integrity: Proper operation, maintenance, and disposal in accordance with security policies.
  6. Auditing: Conducting compliance audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (SEC+ or equivalent), to be obtained within 6 months if not already held.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of operating system security requirements and network security practices.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
