We are seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to work in Washington, DC.

Job Summary:

The ISSO will proactively review, update, and maintain cybersecurity policies, guidance documents, directives, templates, and materials to ensure all documentation reflects the most recent cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities include providing cybersecurity and privacy guidance, supporting ATO packages, conducting risk assessments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with federal standards.

Minimum Responsibilities:
  1. Provide a stable workforce with pre-vetted personnel and security clearances.
  2. Support meetings with preparation of slides, agendas, minutes, and action items.
  3. Develop and update cybersecurity documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  4. Perform gap analyses and recommend improvements.
  5. Manage inventory reviews, ATO packages, and risk assessments.
  6. Support the A&A program, including creating and reviewing system artifacts for ATO requests.
  7. Ensure documentation compliance and proper archiving.
  8. Manage continuous monitoring and update system security plans.
  9. Maintain a security rating of at least "Moderate".
  10. Provide expertise in security testing, vulnerability scans, and eMASS management.
  11. Coordinate with stakeholders for data collection, documentation updates, and compliance efforts.
  12. Manage GRC documentation on SharePoint, ensuring proper access and organization.
  13. Ensure adherence to FISMA, FIPS 199, and NIST 800-53 standards.
  14. Support incident response, contingency planning, and change management processes.
  15. Develop and support POA&Ms, including tracking and closure.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of eMASS experience and 4 years of SA&A/ATO package experience, or 3 years of eMASS and 5 years of SA&A experience.
  • Certification: CISA, GCIH, GSE, GLSC, SCNA, or CISM.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Maintain focus and awareness during work hours.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing at a computer, lifting objects up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to additional responsibilities and changes.
